Anthony Jarrett, MASc, P.Eng
Team Lead, Structural Analysis
Tony gained his undergraduate degree at The University of Birmingham, UK, in Mechanical and Materials Engineering. He worked for several years in the UK: first at QinetiQ in the Aerospace Structures department, and then with Siemens Power Generation (steam turbines) as a finite element analyst.
In 2009 he made the move to Canada, and studied at Queen's University for two years in the Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) program. His field of research was the application of numerical optimization methods to the design of electric vehicle battery cooling systems.
Following the completion of his Master's degree, he worked in Gatineau for Brayton Energy Canada as a mechanical designer on micro-gas turbines and compact heat exchangers. He joined Life Prediction Technologies in 2014.
Currently, he is using his knowledge of numerical methods and optimization to create a software tool for the thermodynamic modeling and analysis of gas turbines.

Feng Gao, Ph.D, P.Eng
Senior Materials Engineer
Dr. Gao serves as a Senior Materials & Metallurgical Engineer at LPTi, and is responsible for collecting materials data for simulation, conducting the failure analysis of the components in gas turbine engines, and developing the code ofthe life prediction for the coatings in gas turbine engines.
Dr Gao gained his Ph.D at Carleton University in 2012, and he has published more than 20 papers on peer-reviewed journals. Also Dr Gao is a registered professional engineer in Ontario, Canada.

She is Senior CFD Analyst at LPTi and responsible for continuous process improvement, simulation and quality control of CFD analyses.
Veda gained Master’s degree in Thermal Engineering at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University ,India. She has 9.5years of work experience in India. She worked as Associate engineer at Cummins Research & Technology India in the CFD team for the After treatment group, then with Infotech Enterprises as a Senior Design engineer, then with Mahindra Satyam as Senior CFD engineer and then she worked as Technical lead for the CFD group at Tata Consultancy Services. She joined Life Prediction Technologies in 2015.Her main work experience is in Conjugate thermal analysis for the Automotive and Aerospace industry components.

Houman Hanachi, PH.D, P.ENG
Team Lead, Data Engineering
Dr. Hanachi received his PhD from Carleton University and worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Queen’s University for two years. His research collaboration with LPTi started in 2011 on the development of tools and techniques for gas turbine health monitoring and degradation prediction, resulting in over 20 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. He has over 17 years of experience in product development, endurance and functional test procedure and test rig design, and supply chain management in automotive and gas turbine industries. His current role at LPTi includes degradation-fused engine modeling and data-driven model development for gas turbine performance prediction.
Zelig Li, M.A.Sc
Aerodynamicist
Zelig has obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University in 2015. He has previously served as a turbomachinery aerodynamicist on the Supercritical CO2 gas turbine project, a joint venture between Carleton University and Natural Resources Canada. He has also developed flight simulation models for various airframe designs as a member of Carleton’s Blackbird UAV competition team.
Since 2016, he has been collaborating with LPTi on developing turbine degradation assessment techniques while pursuing his Master of Applied Science degree at Carleton University. He joined LPTi as a part-time intern in September 2018. His current role at LPTi is focused on aerodynamic modelling.
